This Saturday – 26th March – we have the great opportunity in hosting both Airdire Harriers and Motherwell AC at GHS for this years NL Club Championship & Team North Lanarkshire Team Trials 🙂

About the Event Itself
This event will see all Club Athletes from U11 – U17 from Cumbernauld AAC, Airdire Harriers and Motherwell AC take part in a fun relaxed atmosphere to compete in what will be their first outdoor Track and Field event of the year 🙂

Timetable & Team Managers
A copy of the latest timetable can be found here can I please ask all Club Athletes to take to the time to see when your events are due to start and be at GHS at least 45mins before your event.

The following Club Coaches have kindly agreed to be Team Managers on the day, where Athletes can pick up their Numbers and Pins from:

U11’s: Karen

U15’s: Liz
U17’s: Angela

Please note as this event is pre-entry with the closing date being Tuesday 22nd March @ 10pm – unfortunately no further entries can be accepted 🙁

Volunteers 🙂
We have had a fantastic response from our Club Coaches, Club Officials, Athletes Parents, Senior Athletes across all three Clubs and Scottish Athletics in making this event happen – a BIG Thank You to you all 🙂

Team North Lanarkshire Selection
As discussed with all the Athletes at the Club, this event will also be used to select Team North Lanarkshire Lower Age Group Team, (U13 & U15), to compete in the first meet of this year’s Youth Development League, (YDL), Division 1.

Those who are 1st and 2nd in their events will be put forward for selection for the first YDL Meet on Sunday 1st May, which will be held at Grangemouth Athletics Stadium.

If any of the Athletes have any questions about Team Selection, please contact your Coach for further information.

Last Wee Final Bits
The current weather forecast looks perfect for Saturday and all events will be held outdoors 🙂

Can I please ask all that enter the School at any point in time e.g. using the toilet facilities that they please use the provided sanitizer when entering and leaving and inline with our Let if you can please use a facial mask when inside unless you are exempt on medial grounds.

Unfortunately this year there will be no canteen inside the school for snacks, can all Athlete please remember to bring something to eat in between events.

The Club will provide water and tub’s of Haribo’s for Athletes 🙂

On behalf of all at the Club, to all those Club Athletes competing on Saturday especially those doing so for the first time,  go and enjoy 🙂
