Members’ information

When you become a member of our club, there’s certain information that you or your parents/carers may want to find out. We’ve included lots of useful information below but if there’s anything else you’d like to know, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

How to join Scottish Athletics

All our athletes must join Scottish Athletics and renew their membership every year. Membership is only £9 per year for 9-12 year-olds and £12 per year for 13-20 year-olds, and each athlete gets an individual Scottish Athletics number, which you’ll need to take part in any events.

Here’s what to do:

  1. Go to the Scottish Athletics website –
  2. Click on the online membership steps link as shown in the red box in this screenshot:Screen Shot SA membership
  3. Click on “Register Now” and follow the steps in filling out the Athlete Information. On successful completion, you will receive a Scottish Athletics Number.
  4. When you have registered and received your Scottish Athletics Number, please give a note of this number to your coach.

The membership form must be filled in by members of the club every year (we’ll tell you when to do it).

How do I find out about club events?

We’ll update members in person on club nights, and we also post important information on the website – see our Fixtures and Results page so please check here regularly.

We use an email/text notification system called Teamer to invite athletes to events. Teamer messages are brief so please continue to use the club website for full information.

We also have a closed group on Facebook, where we post information, photos and messages. If you’re a Facebook user, please visit the Cumbernauld AAC group and ask to join.
