After a great Tri-Club Challenge Meet between ourselves Airdrie Harriers and Motherwell AC, the Team NL Team for the the first YDL Meet has now been selected based upon the results of the meet 🙂
How the YDL Team Selection Works
Just a gentle reminder for those that are new to the YDL, we compete as a composite team alongside Airdrie Harriers and Motherwell AC, and as the first YDL Meet comes early in the season, we collectively use the results from the Tri Club Challenge and give first refusal to those Athletes who finish 1st & 2nd in the events they competed in for the first meet only.
Team Selection for YDL Meet 1
Congratulations to the following Club Athletes for their excellent performances in the Tri Club Challenge and in being selected for Team NL for the first meet:

Next Steps – Confirming Athlete Availability
Over the past months, our Club have been successfully piloting a new events platform, Spond, to help improve communications for both events and within our training groups, which means we will be moving away from Teamer.
Therefore, I have set up a group in Spond where all the details such as Athlete availability, event timetables and event logistics will be posted for all YDL meets this year.
A mail has been sent to all of the parents and guardians of those Athletes selected above with guidelines how to sign up to the YDL 2025 Spond Group.
For those selected, can the parents and guardians please confirm either way in Spond by Friday 25th April, as this will give the three Clubs time to find appropriate replacements for those Athletes that are unable to attend after this date.
If anyone has any problems with setting up the Spond App, please don’t hesitate to either catch Stephen on a Club night or contact me on, cumbernauldaac.headcoach@
