After a great Tri-Club Challenge Meet between ourselves Airdrie Harriers and Motherwell AC, the Team NL Team for the the first YDL Meet has now been selected based upon the results of the meet 🙂

How the YDL Team Selection Works
Just a gentle reminder for those that are new to the YDL, we compete as a composite team alongside Airdrie Harriers and Motherwell AC, and as the first YDL Meet comes early in the season, we collectively use the results from the Tri Club Challenge and give first refusal to those Athletes who finish 1st & 2nd in the events they competed in for the first meet only.

To open up the opportunity for all Athletes across the three Clubs, for Meets 2 and Meet 3, the Power of 10 at the time of the selection meeting will be used to select the best performing Athletes from the 3 Clubs. If there is an event that is not listed in the Power of 10, the Selectors will refer back to the Tri-Club Challenge Results.

Team Selection for YDL Meet 1
Congratulations to the following Club Athletes for their excellent performances in the Tri Club Challenge and in being selected for Team NL for the first meet:

All Club Athletes Now Confirmed

Just a wee note to say a big thanks to all the Athletes Parents and Guardian’s  for all kindly confirming Athletes availability for next Sunday’s first YDL Meet of the season and I have attached a copy of the our Club Athletes by event and their event times.

To help with the Athletes picking up their Numbers, Team NL Vests and importantly their warmup, can you please be at Linwood one hour before the Athletes first event.

There will be Team Managers from Cumbernauld, Airdrie and Motherwell to help getting the Athletes to an from their events and will be located in the stand at Linwood, and I will look to confirm their names ahead of next week.

I am sure they will all enjoy being part of Team NL and the great development experience the YDL event offers 😊

If there are any further queries as the week unfolds, please don’t hesitate to ask on the YDL 2025 Spond Group 😊
