Last weekend, the first Scottish National Track & Field Championships for two years took place at Grangemouth, and there were lots of fantastic results for our club athletes! We had 7 athletes in the U17 Championships, 2 U20 athletes in the Senior Championships, and 3 senior athletes in the Senior Championships – great to see so many of our club athletes taking to the stage again!

U17 Athletes

Adam  – 100m – 1st in heat with 11.82 and 3rd in semi-final with a fantastic PB of 11.66, narrowly missing out on a place in the final.

Andrew – 200m – 6th in heat with a great new PB of 25.56 and Long Jump – 6th place with another fantastic PB of 5.50m

Patrick – 200m – 8th in heat with a great new PB of 25.46

Luke – 800m – 5th in heat in an excellent time of 2:11.19

Iona – 800m – 6th in heat with another great time of 2:33.40

Hana – had an excellent throw of 31.21m in the hammer

Calum – 400m – won his heat in a time of 51.40 to qualify with ease for the final, where he won GOLD with a time of 50.48!

U20s competing in Senior Champs

Alasdair – 1500m – stepped up to Seniors and ran a great time of 3:56.06 in his heat to qualify for the final, where he ran an excellent PB of 3:53.86 to finish in 6th position against a strong field of senior competitors.

Amy  – also stepped up to Seniors and came 4th in discus with 33.23m, 4th in 100m hurdles in a time of 15.01s and finally won BRONZE in the shot with a throw of 12.74!  Great performances against senior athletes!

Seniors

Callum Ballantyne -100m – came 7th in his heat with a time of 12.99, and he came 2nd in his heat of the 200m with a new PB time of 26.36.

Scott – 800m – came 6th in his heat with a great time of 2:13.48

Alicia – 3000 Steeplechase – came 4th in the final with an excellent PB time of 11:14.62.
