The first YDL Meet of 2021 will be held at the home of Kilmarnock Harriers & AC, Ayrshire Athletics Arena, in Kilmarnock on Sunday 20th June – a big well done to all our Club athletes who have been selected to represent Team NL 🙂

Team Selection for YDL Meet 1
The following is the current Team Selection for Meet 1 (as of 19th June):

U13/ U15 Boys & Girls (which includes Team Managers & Club Officials)

Many thanks to all the Parents/ Guradians for confirming the Teamer Notifications, all Athletes who have been selected have now confirmed if they can or unable to attend 🙂

A copy of the Timetable of Events for Sunday (revised as of 19th June)  can be found here.

Can all Athletes please make sure you are at the Club Tent that will be at the Ayrshire Athletics Arena at least 1 hour before your event is due to take place.

Important Note for Athlete’s Parents/ Guardians
As at both Trial Meets at GHS, unfortunately no spectators will be allowed into the Arena however each Athlete attending will be allowed one parent/ guardian to accompany them.

For those parents/ guardian attending, can you please leave your name, email address or phone number with one of the Team Managers to help with Track & Trace for the event,

Travel to Ayrshire Athletics Arena, Kilmarnock
In the past the Club have put a mini bus on to help transport Club Athletes to and from events however due to the current restrictions in place this has proved to be impractical. Therefore we are asking all Athletes to please make their own way there, which I appreciate is a big ask.

Directions from Cumbernauld to the Ayrshire Athletics Arena can be found here.

Please note the Car Park at the Arena will be used for Officials and Drop Off only. Just further down to the arena there is additional car parking at the Retail Park on the left hand side.

What Athletes Need to Bring 🙂
As the current weather forecast is looking much better than it did at the beginning of the week :-), can all athletes please make sure you bring the following:

– Club Vest (this year we don’t have to use Team NL Vests)
– Snack and water/ electrolyte drink
– 8 Safety Pins
– Warm long sleeved top, jogging bottoms
– Shower proof jacket and bottoms
– Spikes

On behalf of all the Club Coaches we hope you all enjoy the meet especially those who are representing Team NL for the first time 🙂
