The third YDL Meet of 2019 was yet another fantastic Team performance by all of our Club Athletes that represented Team NL. Overall the LAG (U13 & U15) finished in a great 5th place and the U17 Men & Woman team finished in 2nd place over the 3 YDL meets, which resulted in both teams qualifying for the Scottish Final – fantastic achievement by all Athletes – well done 🙂
As it was very much a collective team effort, I would like to add a BIG thanks again to our Cub Coaches & Officials; Graeme Atkinson, Donna Wallace, Brenda Stephens, Lyndsey Cooper, Angela McCafferty and Marika Kennedy for all kindly agreeing to assist as Officials and as Team Managers over the past three meets – fantastic level of support to ensure all the Athletes were in the right place and the right time as well as picking up maximum Officials points – thank you 🙂
A copy of the results from the YDL Meet 3 are as follows:
– LAG: U13/ U15 Boys and Girls
– U17 Men and Woman
YDL Scottish Final will be held at Grangemouth Stadium on Sunday 4th August – a big well done to all those Club athletes who have been selected to represent Team NL 🙂

Many thanks for all the quick responses to Teamer – much appreciated 🙂
The Timetable of events can be found here.
As we have potentially 20 Athletes from the Club representing Team NL in this Match, we have decided to look at taking the mini bus plus cars, leaving Muirfield Community Center at 09.30 on Sunday 23rd June.
If any Athlete would like a place on the minibus, please let Stephen know at the next Club night.
If Athletes are making their own way there, can you please let Stephen know on 07768 337 608 or at email@example.com and please make sure you are there at least 1 hour before your event is due to take place.
Those who are making their own way there but haven’t been to Grangemouth Stadium before, directions can be found here.
What you Need to Bring
As the current weather forecast is looking a bit mixed but warm, can I ask all athletes please make sure you bring the following:
– Pack lunch and water/ electrolyte drink (non fizzy)
– 8 Safety Pins
– Warm long sleeved top, jogging bottoms
– Shower proof jacket and bottoms
Please note Whilst Team NL Vests will be provided on the day – can you please ensure these are also handed back in after you have finished competing 🙂
For those who still have a vest from last year, can you please make sure you bring this along on the day as we did start this years competition with fewer than we did last year!
On behalf of all the Club Coaches we all hope those Athletes selected enjoy the meet 🙂
