This weekend, 15 of our athletes took part in the Scottish Schools Track and Field Championships, and there were lots of PBs and great results!
The day started off with Stella in the Group B Hammer, where she came 5th with a throw of 41.92m, well done Stella!
Next up was Hana in the Group B Shot Put, taking part in her first ever Scottish Schools competition. She came 5th with a big PB of 8.04m. Well done Hana!
First up on the track was Nikkala, taking part in the Group A 100m, where she came 4th in her heat in a time of 13.88. Well done Nikkala!
Hannah was up next in the Group B 80mH where she ran a time of 12.92 in her heat. She then took part in the Long Jump the next day, where she jumped a PB of 5.22 to come 4th. Well done Hannah!
Adam was the last of our athletes on the track on day 1, where he came 4th in his heat of the Group C 200m with a time of 25.88. Then he ran a PB of 12.32 in his heat of the 100m on the second day to qualify for the final, where he came 7th with a time of 12.34. Well done Adam!
Amy came 4th in the Group B Shot put, with a throw of 11.66. She then qualified for the 300mH Final where she ran a PB of 49.17. Finally, she came 4th in the discus with a throw of 28.28. Well done Amy!
Luke took part in his first ever Scottish Schools and came 5th in the Group B Triple Jump with a PB of 11.96m. He then came 7th in the Long jump with a jump of 5.42m. Well done Luke!
Reuben was also competing in his first Scottish Schools, where he came 7th in the Group B Triple Jump with a jump of 11.52. He then ran a time of 24.96 in the 200m to come 7th in his heat.
Grace won her heat of the Group D 100m in her first Scottish Schools, which qualified her for the final. In the final she ran a PB of 13.15 to win a SILVER medal! Well done Grace!
Calum was also taking part in his first Scottish Schools, and came second in his heat of the Group C 300m, to qualify for the final. In the final, he ran a PB of 38.57 to win a SILVER medal! Well done Calum!
Next on the track was Kaela in her first time in a major competition. She ran a PB to come 3rd in her heat of the Group D75mH to qualify for the final, where she came 5th. Well done Kaela!
Next was Jack, also in his first time in a major competition. He cam 5th in his heat of the Group D 80mH with a PB of 15.69. Well done Jack!
Euan won a BRONZE medal in the Group C 80mH with a time of 17.03m. Well done Euan!
Lauren won a SILVER medal in the Group A Triple Jump with a jump of 10.20m! She then came 7th in her heat of the 200m with a time of 28.54. Well done Lauren!
Finally, Jamie came 5th in the Group A High Jump with a jump of 1.75m. Well done Jamie!
