At the weekend, 27 of our athletes headed to Kilmarnock for the West District Championships and they all performed amazingly well! There were lots of great performances and PBs, as well as an amazing 17 medals!
Hannah came 4th in the U17 80m hurdles with a time of 12.57, and then won a Bronze medal in the Long Jump with a great PB of 5.17m. Well done Hannah!
Max ran a great PB in the U15 800m with a time of 2:27.39. Well done Max!
Alasdair ran 2:06.80 in the U17 800m heat to qualify for the final, where he won a Bronze medal with a time of 2:07.13. Well done Alasdair!
Matthew ran a great time of 2:30.31in the U17 800m, well done Matthew!
Lucy S finished in 2nd place in the U20 women 800m in a time of 2:22.10. Well done Lucy!
Finn ran a time of 16.32 in his heat of the U13 100m, well done Finn!
Grace won her heat and her semi-final (where she ran a PB of 13.84) of the U13 100m, to qualify for the final, where she won a Gold medal with a time of 13.84. Well done Grace!
Millie ran a time of 17.48 in the u13 100m, and ran a PB of 37.38 in the 200m. Well done Millie!
Kayla was 2nd in her heat and 3rd in her semi-final (both PBs of 14.14 and 14.12), which qualified her for the final of the u13 girls 100m, where she ran a time of 15.13. Kayla also took part in the Long Jump where she jumped 3.38m, and the 200m where she ran a PB of 29.42 to qualify for the final, where she ran a time of 30.19. Well done Kayla!
Lucy R was 3rd in her heat of the u15 100m, which qualified her for the final, where she ran a time of 14.39. Well done Lucy!
Rebekah ran well in the u13 800m, with a time of 2:50.11. Well done Rebekah!
Paul took part in three different throwing events and won two medals! After coming 4th in the U17 shot put with a throw of 8.66m, Paul then went on to win Silver in U17 discus with a throw of 22.89 and then Gold in the U17 javelin. Well done Paul!
Amy took part in three events and won three medals! She started off with a PB throw of 31.73m in the u17 discus to win Silver, then threw 11.10m in the U17 shot put to win Bronze, and then finally ran a PB in the U17 300m hurdles to win Bronze. Well done Amy!
Hana started off by throwing 7.04m in the U15 shot put, then followed this with a PB in the U15 Hammer of 29.91 to finish 5th overall, and finally threw a great PB of 19.61 in the discus to win a Bronze medal. Well done Hana!
Logan took part in three throwing events and won three medals! He started off with Gold in the u13 shot put with throw of 7.38m. He followed this up with Silver in the u13 javelin with a PB of 28.30m, and finally won Gold in the U13 discus, with a PB of 18.45m. Well done Logan!
Adam was 2nd in his heat of the u15 200m, which qualified him for the final where he ran a great time of 25.50. He then followed this by winning a Bronze medal in the u15 javelin. Well done Adam!
Reuben finished 3rd in his heat with a time of 24.85 which qualified him for the final, where he ran a time of 25.51. He then went on to win a Silver medal in the u17 triple jump with a PB of 11.86m. Well done Reuben!
Alicia ran a huge PB of 11:47.83 in the 3000m Steeplechase, which sets her up well for taking part in the British Universities Championships in Belfast. Well done Alicia!
Euan jumped well to win a Bronze medal in the u15 boys High Jump, with a clearance of 1.49m. Well done Euan!
Stella threw well in the U17 Hammer, to win a Bronze medal with a throw of 41.84m. Well done Stella!
Luke came agonisingly close to a medal in the U17 triple jump, just missing out by 1cm! However, he then went on to win a Bronze medal in the U17 long jump, with a jump of 5.27m. Well done Luke!
