On Saturday, eight of our athletes headed to the Emirates in Glasgow for the U17 and Senior Indoor National Age Groups Championships and they all did really well!

Hannah started off the day in the 60m hurdles, where she ran a PB time of 9.59, qualifying for the semi-final in a very strong field. Then she jumped a great jump of 4.94, finishing in 13th place overall.  Well done Hannah!

Then Luke qualified for the long jump final in his first ever National Championships with a fantastic jump of 5.32m!  He followed this with a new PB time of 8.13 in his 60m heat.  Well done Luke!

Lewis then took to the track for the Senior Men’s 400m, where he got through his heat and semi-final comfortably to qualify for the Final.  He ran a very strong race in the 400m against a strong field and he won a Bronze medal!  Well done Lewis!

Dylan then took part in the U17 800m, where he ran a great time of 2:07.23.  Well done Dylan!

Alasdair also ran in the 800m, where he won his heat in a fantastic time of 2:04.08 to qualify for the final.  In the final he ran another strong time of 2:09.91.  Well done Alasdair!

Amy started off in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.97.  She then took part in the shot put, where she narrowly missed out on a medal with a throw of 12.01.  Finally she took part in the high jump, where she finished with a jump of 1.48m.  Well done Amy!

Owen ran in the Senior Men’s 200m, where he qualified for the semi-final with a fantastic PB time of 23.59.  Well done Owen!

Finally Reuben took part in his first ever National Championships in the U17 Triple Jump, where he did a great jump of 11.51, to finish 6th overall.  Well done Reuben!
