In perfect running conditions that made one of the most challenging XC courses that bit more enjoyable to run in, all Club Athletes that took part ran well 🙂

The enclosed is a summary of their times:

As mentioned in the previous post, a number of Clubs including ourselves were invited to take part in a Bake Off to raise funds for The Beatson Institute, which was kindly supported by a number of Club Coaches/ Official and Parents by baking a fantastic selection of cakes.

However a special mention and a huge big thanks has to go to Donna Wallace who very kindly agreed agreed to bake a “Show Stopper” cake that would be judged by a distinguished group of officials from Scottish Athletics 🙂 as part of the Bake Off Competition – Donna’s cake was exceptional, which attracted so many people to visit the Club Tent to have their pictures taken with it 🙂

Special Thanks

As with most of the XC events we have atteded throughout this season, we are always very fortunate and appreciative of the support to those that help with the logistics on the day and Saturday was no different and I would like to say a big thanks to:

Frankie who kindly transported the Club Tent to the course as well as pitching it before we all arrived and packed it away at the end of the day as well as providing the Athletes with Hot Chocolate & Bovril (yes Bovril :-))

All of our talented bakers whose creations helped to raise crucial funds for this great cause  🙂

Angela and Ann who kindly between them both looked after our cake stand from 10.00am – 4.00pm 🙂

Lisa Tervit for kindly sharing pictures she took on the day!
