This year the Club are fortunate to have three Athletes with the qualifying standard for this year’s England Athletics National Indoor Track & Field and Combined Events Championships at Sheffield.
Up first to compete was Lewis Brown & Alasdair McMonagle competing in the U20 Men 400m and U15 Boys 800m respectively.
Both competed in their respective event finals and put in brave performances against the top Athletes in the UK. Although there were no medals for them both, there was a great number of positives to take out their performances that I am sure will stand them in good stead for this year’s Summer Track & Field season.
Up next is Amy Kennedy, who after an excellent all round performance last week in the Scottish U15 Girls Indoor CE Championship picking up a well deserved national bronze medal, will make the trip to Sheffield this weekend to compete in the England Athletics Indoor CE Championship.
