To date we have over 20 Athletes who have signed up for this Sunday’s Lasswade Cross Country race at Gorebridge, which will be the first race of this year’s Cross Country Club Championships.

The timetable for all races can be found here.

Travel
Due to the number of Athletes attending, we will be travelling down in a mixture of Mini Bus and cars and will leave Broadwood Stadium at 10.00 on Sunday morning and will leave Gorebridge after the last race our Club Athletes are competing in, which looking at the Timetable should be 14.00. The bus should be back to Broadwood Stadium around 15.30.

Athletes Pre-Entered
Lasswade AC have kindly allowed us to pre-enter those Athletes that have confirmed, which will allow Stephen to pick up all the race numbers and hand out at the Club Tent.

For those that would still  like to run and have yet to say there is still time to do so :-), please let Stephen know by dropping him a txt on 07768 337 608, as a reminder race entry fees are £3.00 for U11’s – U20’s and for Senior’s it will be £5.00.

If you are making your own way there, can you please txt Stephen on 07768 337 608 to let him know.

Cross Country Club Championship Points
To make things simple, this year’s Cross Country Club Championship will use the same points systems used last year, the first three Club Athletes will receive points, 1st = 5 points, 2nd = 3 points and 3rd = 1 point.

What you Need to Bring
For the moment the weather forecast for Sunday is looking like a cool dry day – perfect cross country conditions however as we will be there for a couple of hours can all athletes please make sure you bring the following:

– Club Vest
– 4 Safety Pins

– Shower proof jacket, hat and gloves
– Spikes or Trail Shoes
– Bin bag for dirty shoes/ wet clothes (your parents will thank you :-))
