Yesterday saw some amazing performances from our athletes selected to compete as part of Team North Lanarkshire in the Scottish YDL Final.  Team North Lanarkshire U13/15 Team finished in an outstanding 5th position and the U17 team finished 7th overall.  Some of our athletes also picked up well-earned medals, here are some of the highlights:

U13 Girls:

Stella Coutts- silver medal in Shot Putt

Amy Kennedy – silver medal in High Jump

Niamh Horbury – B string medal winner in Shot Putt

Emma Mair, Kerri Reilly and Cassandra Manfredini – great performances in their events

Unfortunately the relay team was pipped into 4th place on a photo finish.

U15 Girls:

Emily Miller – silver medal in 200m and silver medal in 100m

Hannah Wallace – bronze medal in Long Jump

Tabitha McDonald – bronze medal in Hammer

4x100m relay team bronze medal

Aimie Hendry, Hannah Sleigh, Ellie Forrest, Jodie Warren, Lucy Winning, Nikkala Humphreys – great performances in their events.

U13 Boys:

Craig Little – B string medal winner in Long Jump

Relay team – silver medal

James Wallace, Euan Wallace and Louis Wishart – great performances in their events.

U15 Boys:

Jamie Tobin – silver medal in High Jump

Calum Smith – bronze medal in hammer

Alasdair McMonagle – Gold medal in 800m and bronze medal in 300m

Paul Atkinson, Calum Little, Arran Kennedy, Calum Stewart, Christopher Main, Jacob Brown, Connor Forrest – great performances in their events.

U17 Women:

Beth Tobin – gold medal in Hurdles

Lucy Somerville – Gold medal in 800m

Emma Brown – great performance in hammer

U17 Men:

Great performances from Lewis Wallace, Thomas O’Hear and Hamish Coutts.
