Whilst a number of his team mates were competing at the YDL in Kilmarnock, Lewis was invited down to the Loughborough International to run as a guest in the 400m.
Having already ran an excellent PB of 48.50s at the West District Championships in previous weeks, he went a step further by smashing that and running 48.09s, just missing out in 1st place by 0.01 of a second.
As a first year U20, this time puts Lewis clear in 1st in the Scottish U20 rankings, 5th overall in Scotland and he currently sits 5th in the UK U20m 400m rankings.
His excellent performances have not went unnoticed, with a number of top English Clubs requesting him to run for them in the British League.
To top this off, on Thursday Lewis received the great news of being invited to the British Championships in Birmingham towards the end of June, which will be a fantastic experience for him that will benefit him in many ways in the long run.
On behalf of all at the Club – Congratulations Lewis 🙂
