On Sunday 8 February the club will travel to the Emirates Arena for the Scottish Athletics Indoor League Finals and Relays. Both the under 11 and under 17 Boys teams have made the Finals and this is great news. In addition to the League structure of the day, there will also be a relay competition for all age groups (4 x 200m).
TEAMER notifications have been sent to athletes so please respond as soon as possible in order to allow team selection to take place. Details of all competing athletes will be posted/announced at the the club on Monday 2 February 2015 as well as being posted here.
Because of the nature of the day and with athletes potentially finishing at different times we will be taking cars and a mini bus to this event. Please car share where possible and should you require a lift or require a seat in the mini bus please contact Gary on G_Balfour@sky.com/07902317811 asap.
We will be departing from Muirfield Community Centre at 1030hours (cars and mini bus)For those athletes making their way direct to the Emirates please contact Gary to let him know so we know not to wait on you. All athletes should be at the Emirates for 1100 hours. For those athletes competing in the under 11/17 Boys teams, the day is scheduled to finish around 1745 so be prepared for a long day. For those athletes who are part of a team who may make one of the Relay finals you will also finish around the same time. While the standard of competition is high our under 11 Girls team made the podium last year.For all other athletes you can simply stay and support your team mates or have a shorter day out. The cost per athlete is £3.
