With the indoor season now drawing to an end,  it is now time to turn our attention to the outdoor season. On Sunday 6 April we will be heading to Coatbridge for our annual NL Tri – Club Match with Airdrie and Motherwell. This is normally an excellent fixture and an event which many athletes use to see what shape they are in after the winter season.

Unlike the league matches which many athletes have experience of, this event has more of an individual feel to it with athletes able to elect the events which they wish to compete is as opposed to the more rigid format of the league matches. Athletes will be allowed to compete in up to 3 events (2 track and 1 field or vice versa) and there will be a selection of run, jump and throw events to choose from, as well as a relay to finish the day. As well as the individual element, there is also a keenly contested club aspect to proceedings and we will be doing our best to retain the trophy which we narrowly won last year!

This event has a further dimension to it and will serve as a selection process for the NL team which competes in the Youth Development League (under 13s and up only) and with the NL team now competing in the Scottish Division 1 , this is an excellent opportunity for all taking part. It will also form part of the selection process for the Cumbernauld team who will compete in the JSB Forth Valley League throughout the summer.

We will be running a coach to this event and the departure time will be 0830 hours from the town centre (south) bus stop. The first event will commence at 1000 hours and we hope to be finished by around 1500 hours.  Please note that with a 1000 hrs start, if you intend making your own way to the track to 1) let us know of your intention and 2) please arrive by 0900 hours.

Please check the website closer to the time for further information / any change in times etc.
